"How to choose the relevant subjects during MBA"

So, Finally! You have decided to move your career to fast path by adding MBA degree to your career.

Now comes the second most critical step! Which subject to choose and which all not to!

Choosing the relevant subject during MBA can easily be decided by three step technology:-

Step One: Your subject till Graduation!

You should look back and consider all those subjects, you have read till the graduation...How well have you done in your graduation with those subjects?  Did those subjects were of your liking or not? If the answer is: I Did fairly well and yes I was liking the subjects in my grad then you should continue to read those subjects in Advanced module during MBA and become the master of those subjects...If the answer is otherwise, you should sit down, talk to your colleagues, take help of your teachers and seniors and should not hurry to choose your subjects.

Step Two: Exploring the Options and Become Multi-Master!

Many a times you would have came across such people who have chosen the subjects which they have never read in their career. They are the people who want to read and experience those subjects which have they have never came across in their study career and they want to give their career a second choice and they themselves want that they should have a backup in their career in terms of the subjects...

But you should be most careful if you want to choose the subjects like they did because I remember a famous say “Jack of all trade and master of none “...

But sometime most of the student have no options but have to choose different subjects with respect to what they have read in their grads....for e.g. an engineering student from the trade of Mechanical / Civil / Electrical have not relevant subjects in MBA...

But an MBA Degree to an Engineer is like “Sone Pe Suhaga” ...They should not treat themselves in Minority as compare to all those who have done BBA and now joined MBA, but these students must focus on the subjects like Sales, Marketing and Operations and let me tell you that there are huge demand out there in the market for these kind of students.

Step Three: What do you want to do after MBA?

Even though it’s the last step but the most critical and important factor...Because this step will differentiate you from rest of the others.
When a student joins the MBA Program, every parent start dreaming that after 2 years their child is going to join a BIG MNC firm or some company is going to hire their child for overseas project...There is absolutely no harm in seeing those dreams but it actually depends on you, completely on you, that whether you want to join an MNC or you have enough dare to become an entrepreneur!!

“Richard Branson knew he wanted to be an entrepreneur at a very early age, as do many successful businesspeople in every sector of the economy. Some people, it seems, know what they want to do almost from birth and cannot wait to start doing it. If you know your strengths, whether it be in entrepreneurship, finance or general management, and more importantly, you want to build on them, doing an MBA is an excellent means of achieving your goal.
"My MBA was a catalyst for helping me develop my entrepreneurial spirit and skills, and it gave me the confidence to pursue my career," said Elena Ambrosiadou, Cranfield MBA student in the Class of 1988 who is currently CEO of IKOS Partners. "It taught me how to build and maintain an international network of friends and how to seek out creativity and opportunity. It also taught me about leadership, teamwork and decision-making."

Phoo!! Got stuck! Do not worry; do not think much right now...Just focus on the subjects you want to choose during your MBA Program...

I am pretty sure that while doing your MBA itself you will be able to know your strengths in a much better way and buy the end of IV Semester you would be clear in your mind as to what you have to do after MBA and so which subjects will help you in getting there...Or if you want you can take help of our Alumni network that are our one of the hallmark for years now !

For e.g. if you are an engineer and want to move your career in the automobile Industry, then you should choose operation as elective along with the Marketing and this will give your career a head start in such a way that you would not have imagined..

In such a way, if you are a finance grad and want to become a core financial professional then the Finance is the best elective to choose...In addition to MBA Program, you can also choose our CFA Course, which makes you the complete core financial professional and you will be a most sought person for many MNC Companies.

If you are a BBA Grads, Choosing the MBA subjects are an easy job if you want your career to move ahead in a rather well management and professional way, you are being offered our best of class Management subjects.

Or, if you want to choose to take your career in the Manpower space, then you are welcome to choose the MBA Program in Human Resource Management which will give you the definite edge in the current HR Space.

In the end, I would like to maintain one point, that although, it is important to choose your favourite subjects during the MBA Program, what is more important is to keep your goal very clear from the day zero!

MBA Program is just a tool to help you making a confident and good manager who can manage the time and resource well as compare to others but actually it is you who is going to face the world everyday with new and never before challenges...you are therefore should keep your focus extremely right for whatever subjects you read and learn during your MBA!!

All the Best!
